Role Overview

The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR team in implementing local and regional initiatives, helping to foster an engaging and inclusive workplace. This role involves close collaboration with HR Managers and Business Partners to optimize recruitment processes, streamline HR operations, and promote a culture aligned with Sysco's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about employee engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate critical HR activities such as employee orientation, onboarding, exit interviews, leave management, OSHA reporting, and return-to-work programs.
• Offer support and guidance to employees and supervisors on policies and compliance to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to implement effective recruitment and staffing plans matching organizational needs.
• Assist with HR systems like eTime and oversee payroll tasks ensuring accuracy and promptness.
• Advocate for and contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives within the company.
• Manage employee engagement programs aimed at boosting satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
• Track HR metrics and help develop strategies to elevate employee experience and organizational performance.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years experience in HR management or a related area with expertise in core HR functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field required for external candidates; preferred for internal applicants.
• Certifications such as PHR or SPHR from the HRCI are strongly favored.
• Experience with HR software like Workday, including payroll and HRMS, is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational capabilities with dedication to fostering inclusive workplace environments.
