Role Overview
This position involves supervising daily operations in either Inbound or Outbound Fulfillment Center functions with a focus on safety, quality, performance, and employee experience. You will be accountable for planning resource allocation, addressing training and performance management needs, and promoting a productive work environment through continuous coaching and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Define clear departmental goals, foster collaboration, teamwork, and open communication.
- Enforce safety procedures, promptly document incidents, and encourage safe work habits.
- Schedule workload with priority to meet deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrate professionalism while adapting to changes and ambiguity.
- Proactively handle challenges and drive results.
- Consistently communicate and uphold company policies.
- Generate and implement improvement initiatives by sourcing feedback and best practices across shifts and departments.
- Collaborate with HR, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure necessary resources for projects.
- Use production data to develop continuous improvement strategies and provide management reports.
- Support development of long-term operational strategies.
- Mentor and train team members to enhance performance and foster growth.
- Recognize achievements and conduct coaching or disciplinary actions as needed.
- Recommend enhancements to equipment and processes to optimize efficiency.
- Review and verify timecards daily and weekly for payroll accuracy.
- Flexibly perform other related duties, including shift rotations and extended hours when required, arriving early and staying late for handovers and reporting.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Office suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for up to 12-hour shifts, and perform frequent physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching.
- Availability to work 40 hours weekly with potential overtime.
