About the role
Stride Treglown is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join its Bristol studio. The practice focuses on creating places that put people first, while also considering environmental responsibility and purposeful design. The opportunity
You will work closely with the Creative Lead on a major commercial and private-sector scheme spanning multiple buildings. The position calls for someone who can respond to client needs, manage expectations effectively, and communicate design ideas through strong visuals and polished presentations. The team is especially interested in someone who is comfortable exploring bold, unconventional, and highly creative design solutions.
The successful candidate should bring strong product knowledge in interior design, enjoy solving non-standard design challenges, and approach them with enthusiasm and confidence.
What you will bring
- A strong focus on delivering an excellent client experience
- The ability to develop imaginative and persuasive design concepts
- Confident SketchUp capability
- Solid knowledge of interior design products
- Good working knowledge of Revit
Essential requirements
- A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Excellent client-handling skills and flexibility when priorities change
- The ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and build positive working relationships
- Experience taking projects through RIBA stages
- Strong understanding of interior design products, including the preparation of schedules and specification documents
- Working knowledge of British Standards and BSA legislation
- The ability to work independently, organise time well, and prioritise tasks effectively
- A proactive approach to design reviews with colleagues
- The confidence to liaise with consultants and communicate interior design requirements clearly
- Experience attending site and working with contractor teams during construction
Desirable experience
- Understanding of projects delivered under traditional contract arrangements
- Ability to produce rendered visuals using Enscape
- Familiarity with AI tools and their practical application
