Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, estimate time and costs, plan IT projects, assess risks, and develop applications and models tailored to specific business requirements.
• Oversee all stages of the development lifecycle including analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and provide ongoing user and operational support.
• Utilize expert-level knowledge in application development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, adhere to industry standards, and offer sound judgments.
• Recommend and develop post-implementation security measures to ensure system effectiveness and compliance.
• Consult with users, clients, and technology teams to resolve issues, suggest advanced programming solutions, and assist with system deployment and user training.
• Define and enforce operational standards and procedures, and serve as an advisor or mentor to junior analysts.
• Exercise independent judgment and autonomy while assessing risks and ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and company policies to protect reputation and assets.

Preferred Skills and Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Java 17 and experience developing robust applications using Spring Boot and Gradle.
• Ability to implement and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience integrating with diverse internal and external systems.
• Skilled in writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and other testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of design patterns for efficient and maintainable coding.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift.
• Collaborative approach to working with developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver quality software.
• Active participation in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and staying current with technology trends.
• Competence in troubleshooting and resolving production issues promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience in software application programming and system analysis.
• Proven track record managing and delivering successful projects.
• Familiarity with consulting and project management methodologies.
• Ability to maintain performance under pressure and adapt to shifting deadlines or requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
