Java Developer

Job Summary

This role is for an eager Java Developer to become part of a software team in Navi Mumbai. The position calls for around 12 years of practical experience in building enterprise-grade Java applications using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. You’ll contribute in a collaborative setup focused on delivering scalable, efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, build, and support scalable enterprise Java applications using Java and related technologies. When needed, you should also be comfortable working with front-end tools such as JSP, Ajax, and jQuery.
• Plan and improve relational database structures using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS platforms, while ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of data.
• Take part in code reviews, develop unit and integration tests, and troubleshoot issues to keep applications reliable, secure, and high-performing.
• Work in close coordination with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to deliver features on time and overcome development blockers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documents covering development processes, APIs, and deployment steps.
• Keep pace with evolving industry practices, technologies, and tools to improve development quality and workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns, with solid hands-on knowledge of Core Java, multithreading, and the Stream API.
• Deep experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot, including Spring MVC, microservices, Hibernate, JPA, and Spring Security.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as jQuery, JSP, Ajax, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with the ability to use them when required.
• Experience building and working with RESTful APIs and microservice-based systems.
• Practical exposure to relational databases such as MySQL, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, with preference for MySQL and MS-SQL.
• Hands-on use of Git or similar version control systems.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and general software development best practices.
• Strong debugging, issue resolution, and analytical problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for working effectively across functions.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Preferred familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Nice to have exposure to Docker for containerization.
• Nice to have knowledge of CI/CD pipelines used for automated build and deployment.
• Nice to have awareness of IoT integration concepts.
