Junior Accountant

Overview

CPNS & Associates is seeking a Junior Accountant for their office located in Santacruz East, Mumbai. This role is ideal for commerce graduates with experience in chartered accountancy firms who wish to enhance their accounting skills in a supportive environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform accurate accounting entries and maintain bookkeeping records.
• Prepare and ensure compliance for GST returns.
• Conduct GST reconciliation and prepare associated working papers.
• Execute bank reconciliations regularly.
• Assist with TDS and Income Tax compliance matters.
• Generate basic Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Provide assistance during audit processes and statutory compliance requirements.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Completed graduation in Commerce (B.Com or M.Com).
• At least six months of work experience within a Chartered Accountant firm.
• Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and GST regulations.
• Proficiency in using Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication skills combined with eagerness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment and adhere to deadlines.
