Role overview
This position combines kitchen porter duties with site delivery driving support in Samlesbury. The role suits someone who enjoys keeping a busy kitchen organised, clean, and running smoothly, while also helping with hospitality deliveries. A driving licence is required, and applicants must be over 25 for insurance reasons. DBS clearance and the ability to pass site security checks are essential.
The working pattern is 34 hours per week and the pay rate is £13.45 per hour.
What you’ll be doing
- Cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or with industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Keeping kitchen worktops, food prep areas, and general surfaces sanitised and tidy, including emptying waste bins and disposing of rubbish correctly.
- Supporting chefs and cooks with simple prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Helping with site deliveries, including hospitality-related deliveries.
- Receiving, storing, and arranging kitchen stock, ingredients, and supplies in an orderly way.
- Maintaining a safe, compliant workspace by keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and equipment in proper working condition.
