Laboratory Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician with qualifications in Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Technology, Chemical Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or a related technical field to join our team in Nairobi County, Kenya. This role involves conducting routine laboratory and quality control tests on both raw materials and finished products.

Primary Duties

• Carry out standard laboratory and quality control tests on raw inputs and final products.
• Conduct specific assessments including density testing, hydrostatic pressure evaluations, dimensional checks (such as wall thickness, outer diameter, and ovality), and impact resistance tests.
• Analyze test data and compile comprehensive laboratory reports detailing findings.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of laboratory testing instruments and equipment.
• Perform regular calibration and verification of laboratory devices to maintain accuracy.
• Supervise product adherence to established standards including Kenyan Standards (KS) and ISO guidelines.
• Detect products that do not meet quality specifications and assist in corrective procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the laboratory environment.
• Contribute to the adoption and enforcement of Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001:2015.
