Logistics Operations Manager

Overview

The Richmond Group USA is collaborating with a respected manufacturing firm in the Greater Savannah Area to recruit a Logistics Operations Manager. This key leadership position reports to the General Manager and focuses on overseeing and advancing all logistics and warehouse activities, ensuring excellence in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and transportation.

The ideal candidate is a servant leader who flourishes in dynamic manufacturing settings and enjoys working cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering, maintenance, IT, and executive teams. This role involves enhancing and scaling existing operations, mentoring staff, and implementing long-lasting process improvements.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Lead logistics, warehouse, shipping, and transportation functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Utilize and standardize warehouse procedures such as staging, loading, routing, and inventory control.
• Apply knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (preferably SAP), ERP systems, and inventory tracking methods.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and foster a culture of operational excellence.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities under fast-paced conditions.
• Possess at least 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse leadership, ideally with a bachelor's degree.
• Exhibit a servant leadership approach focused on coaching and empowering team members.
