Marketing Coordinator

Role Overview

This position supports the Global Brand Marketing team primarily focused on the studio's new entertainment releases, involving management of marketing operations, promotional efforts, and administrative functions within a 12-month contract period based in Culver City, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and update critical timelines for home entertainment marketing activities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining key marketing presentations, ensuring they are current, including those for filmmakers, sales teams, and internal use.
• Participate in cross-department meetings and external partner calls, taking detailed notes and disseminating information to the appropriate marketing teams.
• Draft and circulate emails regarding international title launches and marketing updates in coordination with Brand leads.
• Manage title metadata by collaborating with Brand leads, legal, and programming teams.
• Update and manage marketing asset decks for major releases and select third-party or limited theatrical projects.
• Record and share notes from internal promotions meetings to keep Brand teams informed.
• Coordinate monthly marketing sales meetings and occasionally present title summaries.
• Select promotional media clips and handle approval workflows.
• Assist logistical marketing operations, including trailer production, budgeting, and product ordering alongside internal and external partners.
• Contribute to budget development for new titles with cross-functional teams.
• Engage with scripts and film screenings to participate in content brainstorming sessions.
• Collaborate on promotional campaigns with partners to create or extend marketing efforts, ensuring legal compliance and asset clearance.
• Work with Sony Electronics on marketing materials for various retail and online platforms.
• Identify opportunities to optimize team workflows such as content localization and AI tool integration.
• Support special projects and administrative tasks, including vendor onboarding and purchase order management.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years marketing experience, ideally within a studio or streaming setting.
• Strong skills in PowerPoint and related applications for creating presentations.
• Proficient multitasker with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional project management and attention to detail.
• Adept at synthesizing information from diverse sources into cohesive documents.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel; familiarity with Excel formulas highly desirable.
• Skilled in online research and internet navigation.
• Independent problem-solving capability.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Eager to expand knowledge beyond daily tasks.
