About the Role

The Ghana AIDS Commission is seeking four qualified individuals to fulfill the role of Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) Officers. These officers will be responsible for tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of national HIV and AIDS response programs across multiple regions including Ashanti, Northern, Upper West, and Greater Accra.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize sanctioned M & E tools, templates, and indicators to evaluate HIV program outcomes.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by collaborating with various stakeholders involved in HIV and AIDS activities.
  • Coordinate training and capacity development initiatives with Regional and District HIV Committees for key program implementers from local governments, private sector, and civil society.
  • Facilitate quarterly coordination sessions at regional and district levels involving all primary actors in partnership with District HIV Committees.
  • Assist regional and district offices in conducting surveillance, operational research, and surveys targeting both the general population and high-risk groups to gather essential strategic information.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to HIV and AIDS programs.
  • Provide support to regional and district teams to integrate local data into evidence-based planning and programming aimed at achieving measurable results.
  • Prepare detailed quarterly technical and monitoring reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, or Health Sciences.
  • Completion of one-year post-degree national service.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Strong presentation and analytical capabilities.
