Role overview
Phoenix Concrete Products is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of its manufacturing sites in Dubai. The role is focused on keeping production, maintenance, planning, yard activity, internal movement of materials, and stores running smoothly while improving efficiency, product quality, cost control, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. The position partners closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and HSE teams so that production capacity stays aligned with customer requirements and business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Direct all manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, production planning, yard operations, internal logistics, and stores.
- Consistently deliver production targets, quality benchmarks, safety requirements, and key operational KPIs.
- Build and run production schedules that satisfy customer demand and make the best use of plant capacity.
- Improve equipment uptime through strong preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Track production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and raw material usage to reduce waste and operating cost.
- Manage finished goods movement, internal logistics, and stock control.
- Review operational results and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Investigate production setbacks, downtime, quality issues, and inventory differences, then put corrective actions in place.
- Guide, coach, and develop supervisors, shift leaders, and operational teams.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, HSE rules, and sound manufacturing practices.
- Contribute to budgeting, operational planning, capital initiatives, and new production projects.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations is needed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position within the building materials or concrete products sector is required.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, ideally in concrete products.

- Equipment reliability and maintenance oversight.
- Operational control and process discipline.
- Project management awareness (PMP).

- Data-based decision-making and analytical problem-solving.
- Inventory management and ERP familiarity.
- Knowledge of HSE compliance and company policy adherence.
