Pavement Supervisor

About the Role

ConsultANZ is looking to fill two Pavement Supervisor positions with a prominent civil engineering contractor in Auckland, New Zealand. This opportunity suits candidates who have a strong background in asphalt paving, solid leadership capabilities, and comprehensive expertise in paving operations, plant management, and health and safety compliance.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee pavement and asphalt teams engaged in maintenance, commercial, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Manage daily site activities to guarantee work completion safely, punctually, and meeting project specifications.
• Organize and coordinate paving machinery, tools, and on-site resources efficiently.
• Lead and provide guidance to teams comprising up to 10 personnel.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality regulations throughout the projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Certification or qualification relevant to civil construction, roadworks, or pavement construction.
• Minimum of five years' supervisory experience in pavement or asphalt construction.
• In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving and familiarity with paving plant operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective team management skills.
• Experience in overseeing health and safety standards within civil construction environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, plus a company ute; salary is negotiable based on experience.
