Pharmacy Dispenser

Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, playing an essential role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective pharmacy and healthcare services within a retail store setting. This in-store position involves engaging with patients, understanding their needs, dispensing prescriptions accurately, and offering advice to help patients make informed health choices.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions ensuring the safe and legal supply of medications, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to assist with the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide patients with advice regarding their medicines and escalate complex queries to the pharmacist.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain safety and legality in dispensing.
• Stay updated on new products and operational processes within the store.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions effectively by supporting reliable repeat services and promoting adherence to reduce medication waste.
• Utilize developing in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes and patient safety, enabling more patient interaction time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must have completed NVQ2 in Pharmacy Advice (or equivalent) or be progressing with an MPharm qualification and have completed the first year.
• Hold current and valid UK legal right to work; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not provided.
• Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

Compensation

The hourly wage starts at £13.92 and can increase to £16.64 depending on selected London locations.
