Role Overview
The Planning Analyst will be pivotal in producing precise demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and supply recommendations. This role ensures product availability while maximizing inventory efficiency and serves as a central liaison connecting Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, and Finance teams through data-driven insights to support growth and high customer service standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate and update SKU-level demand forecasts across sales channels by analyzing historical data, seasonal trends, and promotional effects.
- Collaborate actively with Sales and Marketing to enhance forecast precision and monitor forecast outcomes to drive continuous improvements.
- Oversee inventory by tracking stock health and turnover rates, recommending safety stock levels and reorder points to balance availability with investment.
- Identify and address risks related to shortages, excess stock, and obsolete inventory, supporting initiatives for optimizing working capital.
- Devise supply plans aligned with forecast demand and supplier timelines, ensuring clear communication of purchase requirements with Procurement.
- Monitor supplier delivery and inventory coverage performance, contributing to new product launches and phase-out procedures.
- Produce regular KPI reports analyzing sales, inventory, service levels, and forecasting accuracy to provide actionable insights.
- Maintain planning data and dashboards to support the overall Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Prepare reporting and scenario analyses, highlighting risks related to demand, capacity, and inventory to stakeholders for informed decision-making.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years’ experience in demand or supply planning, inventory management, or analytical positions.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP and demand planning software.
- Strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate insights into practical actions.
Qualifications
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields is preferred.
- Professional certification such as APICS or CPIM is advantageous.
