Power BI Analyst

About the Role

Process Global, a startup launching in 2025, is looking for an Analytics Engineer specializing in Power BI and related Microsoft BI technologies to join their Hyderabad office. The candidate will be responsible for sustaining and advancing enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence ecosystems, supporting platforms such as Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support BI and reporting infrastructures across Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS environments.
• Oversee and optimize ETL workflows, scheduled tasks, and data refresh mechanisms.
• Enhance dashboards and reports for better performance, usability, and reliability.
• Provide production support ensuring uptime, data correctness, and compliance with SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues including report errors, data refresh failures, inconsistencies, and access problems.
• Create and standardize reusable data models and semantic layers to facilitate self-service analytics.
• Build and maintain data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure services.
• Work closely with business partners to capture requirements and translate them into actionable analytics deliverables.
• Collaborate with data science teams to incorporate AI and machine learning insights within reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to data warehouse design including dimensional modeling and schema enhancement.
• Balance operating current systems with fostering ongoing innovation and improvements.
• Adapt to changing priorities and schedules associated with client and stakeholder needs.
• Demonstrate ownership and flexibility, embracing responsibilities beyond the specified role within a startup culture.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server including query optimization and tuning.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure-based data integration tools.
• Knowledge of Synapse Analytics, data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design best practices.
• Strong skills in dashboard creation, data visualization, semantic modeling, and BI reporting standards.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for incident diagnosis and resolution.
• Effective communication skills for gathering and clarifying business requirements.
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning integration within analytics solutions is a plus.
• Holds at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering or production support within similar environments.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-evolving startup atmosphere.
