Process Engineer

Position Overview

At our Singapore manufacturing facility, the Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting manufacturing operations. Collaborating closely with teams from operations, quality, engineering, and safety, this role involves addressing challenges, implementing projects, and driving performance improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering initiatives in pilot plant scale-up projects by working with Chemists, Operations, and Engineering to assess scale-up requests and determine optimal plant setups for efficient process transition.
• Diagnose and resolve process and equipment challenges to restore production consistency and enhance reliability.
• Support process development efforts, including optimization and technology transfer activities.
• Establish and track essential performance indicators and collaborate with stakeholders to implement continuous improvements.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of new equipment and computerized systems.
• Participate in capital improvement projects within the facility.
• Provide technical training and guidance to operators and team members to promote best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or related Engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industries.
• Hands-on experience with process troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Proven involvement in equipment and computerized system commissioning, qualification, or validation.
• Solid understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), occupational health and safety regulations, and risk assessment techniques.
• Competence in conducting hazard assessments, preparing and reviewing Process Risk Assessments, batch records, Work Instructions (WIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
