Role Overview

This leadership position entails full accountability for procurement operations, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and supplier performance across multiple locations. The role supports frontline service delivery by ensuring timely availability of essential products and services. The Procurement Manager will lead a skilled team and collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and operational stakeholders to modernize systems, embed best practices, and drive strategic transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics activities across multiple sites.
• Design inventory and demand planning strategies that reduce waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Manage supplier relationships, assess service performance, ensure contract compliance and maintain procurement governance.
• Support strategic sourcing and guarantee procurement adheres to government regulations and policies.
• Lead continuous improvement projects within procurement and supply chain operations, leveraging methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
• Drive change management related to new systems, automation, ERP optimization, and digital transformation.
• Utilize operational data and reporting tools to enhance decision-making and supply chain efficiency.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain governance, risk mitigation, and compliance across procurement and supply activities.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team, promoting a collaborative and customer-focused culture across clinical, operational, and corporate areas.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader in operations, procurement, or supply chain with proven success in enhancing processes, leading teams, and implementing meaningful change. Experience in complex, process-driven sectors such as healthcare, government, manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, distribution, or logistics is preferred, especially environments emphasizing governance and operational excellence.

• Proven leadership in procurement, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or operational service management.
• Strong expertise in procure-to-pay workflows, inventory oversight, and supplier management.
• Experience spearheading operational improvements and business transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with ERP, procurement, or inventory systems, with a passion for technological efficiency improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of fostering trust with finance, operations, tech and executive teams.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret operational and financial data for informed decision-making.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational reporting.
• Collaborative leadership approach with demonstrated capacity to mentor and develop high-achieving teams.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance, and risk management within regulated frameworks is highly desirable.
