Role Overview
Become an integral part of a dynamic and challenging airport setting where your procurement knowledge will impact key operational, capital, and technological initiatives. As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage comprehensive procurement processes while collaborating extensively with various internal stakeholders. This role offers the chance to blend practical sourcing and contract duties with participation in a major ERP system overhaul, shaping the future of procurement operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, tendering, evaluating, and negotiating.
- Develop high-quality procurement documents such as Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Tenders (RFTs), and evaluation reports.
- Collaborate with internal partners to identify requirements and create tailored procurement strategies.
- Assist with contract management tasks including variations, extensions, and performance monitoring.
- Establish and maintain robust supplier relationships to guarantee value, regulation compliance, and performance standards.
- Oversee supplier compliance with safety, regulatory, and security protocols.
- Contribute to the ERP system implementation through process design, data preparation, testing, and user assistance.
- Support the development of procurement templates, catalogues, and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure all procurement practices adhere to governance, compliance, and auditing frameworks.
- Identify and promote ongoing enhancements in procurement processes.
Candidate Profile
- A proactive and commercially focused procurement expert who thrives in complex environments and values forging strong cross-team relationships.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract administration.
- Solid grasp of sourcing approaches and contract management fundamentals.
- Confident in analyzing commercial proposals and providing sound recommendations.
- Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement or ERP platforms; experience with Infor is highly advantageous.
- Effective stakeholder engagement capabilities with influence at all organizational levels.
- Highly organized and skilled at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to meet security prerequisites, including acquiring an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and clearing an AFP check.
