Role Overview
We seek a dedicated and product-centric Product Manager to join our team remotely within Germany or from our Leipzig offices. This full-time role suits someone passionate about data visualization who enjoys writing detailed Markdown specifications and collaborating closely with technically inclined engineers. The role involves end-to-end ownership from conception to delivery, embracing all tasks that help propel the product forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and prioritization of the product roadmap based on market insights, customer input, and business goals.
- Create precise, well-documented product specifications using Markdown to guide engineering efforts.
- Engage extensively with customers to understand their work patterns, challenges, and expectations for exceptional products.
- Collaborate daily with engineering and design teams to facilitate fast, iterative product development cycles.
- Explore practical applications of AI to enhance the product, while discerning genuine benefits from hype.
- Utilize product analytics and experimentation to make data-informed decisions on features and improvements.
- Take initiative to complete various tasks essential for product progress, including launches, bug triage, customer support, and even team support activities.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory; knowledge of German is advantageous.
- Minimum of two years' experience in product management, preferentially within SaaS or B2B contexts.
- Deep interest in data visualization, with an eye for presenting complex data attractively.
- Expertise in writing engineer-friendly specifications with Markdown fluency.
- Comfortable engaging closely with technically minded engineering teams, identifying as a tech enthusiast.
- Curiosity about AI and machine learning technologies coupled with pragmatic evaluation skills.
- Proactive mindset focused on delivering workable solutions rapidly and iterating rather than prolonged debates.
- Bonus: Familiarity with R, PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js or strong opinions about data visualization methods such as bar charts versus pie charts.
