About the Role

Located within the Environmental Data & Monitoring division, your role is to bridge the gap between environmental scientists and IT delivery teams. You will collaborate across diverse environmental sectors to identify challenges, propose improvements, and translate these into clear, actionable product requirements. Managing a prioritized development pipeline, you’ll ensure our digital tools evolve efficiently and meet both immediate and future needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the process to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements related to environmental applications.
• Maintaining a structured product backlog and improvement roadmap to guide development efforts.
• Working closely with internal IT teams as well as external vendors to drive the delivery of effective solutions.
• Overseeing the entire lifecycle of application enhancements from conceptualization to deployment.
• Ensuring that solutions align closely with user needs and organizational objectives.
• Promoting ongoing enhancements within the environmental applications ecosystem.
• Supporting improvements that make environmental data more accessible, accurate, and useful for decision-making.

Candidate Profile

You are an adept collaborator and communicator, eager to connect diverse perspectives to achieve meaningful results. You can easily engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, asking the right questions to clarify complex requirements and convert them into practical solutions.

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a related capacity.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Competence in collecting, analyzing, and documenting user requirements.
• Familiarity with managing backlogs, prioritization techniques, and structured delivery frameworks.
• An analytical approach coupled with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and facilitation capabilities.
• The ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.

Education & Eligibility

Possession of a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable. Candidates with significant IT experience coupled with a background in environmental science are also encouraged to apply.
