Role summary
The Production Manager will guide apparel products from development through final delivery, working closely with design, technical, factory, and vendor partners to keep product quality, approvals, costing, and timelines on track.
Key responsibilities
- Work side by side with the Design and Technical teams to move fabrics, trims, and garments through approval stages from development into production.
- Share design feedback, revisions, and final approvals with factories.
- Collect initial price quotes and lead counter-cost discussions and negotiations.
- Check customer samples with the Design and Technical teams to make sure products meet the intended look, fit, and execution.
- Keep regular contact with factories to share updates, comments, and production changes.
- Arrange pre-testing and final testing so products meet care label and hangtag compliance requirements.
- Track and update bills of materials in Centric.
- Participate in fittings and provide support across the development cycle.
- Manage the complete production flow through to final shipment and delivery.
- Examine inline and final inspection reports to confirm quality expectations are being met.
- Handle daily communication with overseas factories and vendors.
- Contribute effectively in a fast-moving team setting.
- Travel internationally when required.
Experience and skills
This role calls for 5 to 7 years of experience in apparel production, along with strong negotiation and vendor coordination capabilities. The ideal candidate should be extremely organized, detail-focused, able to juggle several priorities without close supervision, and comfortable communicating clearly in both written and spoken form. Confidence under pressure and a constructive, solutions-led mindset are also important. Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, A2000, and Centric PLM is expected.

Work environment
The position is based onsite in the New York City Metropolitan Area and requires the ability to work closely with a fast-paced team as well as coordinate with overseas partners. Travel overseas may be needed.
