Overview
The Program Manager provides comprehensive leadership and oversight for a sophisticated government intelligence support program. Acting as the main interface with government authorities, this role manages program personnel, ensures adherence to contractual obligations, mitigates risks, and continuously improves performance while upholding superior quality and customer satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of program execution, ensuring achievement of contractual, technical, financial, schedule, and quality targets.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and government leadership.
- Create and implement strategic plans aligned with customer mission needs.
- Deliver executive briefings and progress reports to senior leadership within government and the organization.
- Oversee program budgets, staffing, subcontractor management, and financial monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all contract terms and timely delivery of required outputs.
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks, initiating corrective measures when needed.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and mission excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development and certification maintenance.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders from the DIA, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense.
- Proactively identify mission support improvements and represent the company at customer meetings and executive briefings.
- Maintain program performance metrics, enforce company policies, quality standards, and security compliance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities within current contracts.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to program sensitivity.
- At least 16 years of management experience, including applicable military leadership roles.
- Proven background as a Program Manager on substantial, complex government or intelligence initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of the Defense Intelligence Agency and U.S. Intelligence Community operations.
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Demonstrated expertise managing budgets, schedules, personnel, and contracts.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
- Experience briefing senior military, governmental, and corporate executives.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick adaptation to new technology platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the Solutions for the Information Analysis III (SIA III) contract.
- Previous U.S. military or federal government service.
- Experience supporting intelligence, defense, or national security missions.
- Located in or willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. metro area.
- Experienced in leading widely dispersed teams in classified environments.
