About the role

This position focuses on coordinating local buying activities to support both manufacturing operations and local commercial teams. Key responsibilities

  • Raise and track purchase orders with local suppliers of materials and indirect items, making sure deliveries arrive on schedule through steady follow-up and coordination.
  • Draft and circulate RFQs, compare supplier responses, evaluate quotations, and share purchasing recommendations.
  • Assist with market scanning and vendor due diligence to identify and assess possible suppliers.
  • Keep internal teams informed about the progress and status of procurement requests.
  • Translate user requests into procurement requests and purchase orders, then secure approvals and keep items moving through the process.
  • Work with warehouse or office teams to plan incoming shipments and make suitable receiving arrangements.
  • Build and maintain respectful, effective communication with suppliers.
  • Partner with engineering and warehouse functions to source spare parts, consumables, and production inputs according to technical requirements.
  • Maintain clear, accurate procurement records and organized filing systems.
  • Refresh weekly cash forecasts to support supplier payment planning in line with negotiated terms.
  • Contribute to vendor assessments and review supplier performance to support ongoing improvement.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a comparable purchasing or procurement role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Practical knowledge of procurement standards, vendor coordination, and contract negotiation.
  • Comfort using procurement software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong planning, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, including solid spreadsheet use.
