Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Quality Control Officer to join our expanding plastic recycling enterprise located in Kampala, Uganda. Preference will be given to candidates who are Ugandan nationals with pertinent industry experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Examine incoming PET bottles and various raw inputs.
• Supervise the washing and recycling processes to guarantee product quality standards.
• Conduct tests on RPET flakes assessing cleanliness, moisture content, color, contamination levels, and size consistency.
• Document quality assessments and maintain comprehensive inspection records.
• Collaborate closely with production personnel to promptly address and rectify quality-related challenges.
• Verify that finished goods adhere to customer requirements and company quality benchmarks.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or related disciplines.
• Previous quality control experience in plastic recycling, manufacturing, or associated fields is advantageous.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail combined with effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrate good communication skills and teamwork readiness.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing methodologies and quality inspection techniques is preferable.
