Quality Inspector

Role overview

Technocraft Industries is seeking Quality Inspectors for its automotive manufacturing facility in Chennai. In this role, you will examine parts directly on the shop floor, verify dimensions with measuring instruments, spot defects, separate rejected items, and keep inspection documentation up to date. The work includes both in-process and final checks so that only acceptable parts move ahead to the next operation or dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Check components against drawings and the control plan.
• Measure dimensions using Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Identify surface defects and other quality concerns.
• Sort parts into accepted and rejected categories.
• Record inspection results and maintain related reports.
• Adhere to safety rules and quality standards throughout the process.

Eligibility and requirements

Candidates should have an ITI, Diploma, or 12th-pass qualification. Freshers are welcome, and applicants with up to 2 years of experience may also apply. A basic understanding of measurement is preferred. Willingness to work in shifts, including night shift, is required. Knowledge of Vernier, micrometer, and gauges is a minimum requirement for consideration.

Working conditions

The job is based in Perungudi, Chennai, and involves shop-floor work in a rotational shift setup, including night shifts.

Compensation
