About the Role
Join Alstom as a full-time Quality Inspector focusing on rolling stock in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Alstom leads the transportation industry by deploying solutions in high-speed trains, metros, trams, and digital mobility, championing greener and smarter transport worldwide. This role offers the chance to significantly contribute to quality assurance within rolling stock retrofit initiatives while working alongside dedicated teams across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Quality System rigorously as per the Alstom Quality Plan and contractual guidelines on-site.
- Ensure teams comply with technical contractual obligations during rolling stock upgrades.
- Coordinate cross-functional quality issues, conduct site and incoming material inspections.
- Prepare and validate quality records and checklists related to each stage of rolling stock processes.
- Conduct retrofit inspections, prepare inspection and test requests for site operations.
- Monitor and resolve site non-conformance reports and related corrective actions.
- Liaise with supplier quality teams, manage supplier non-conformance reports.
- Update and maintain registers for inspections, NCRs, and calibration tests.
- Address customer complaints promptly with appropriate feedback and follow-up.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the Power Master Punch List and readiness for DFQ activities.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Electromechanical Engineering.
- Experience or understanding of rolling stock tasks and specialized processes like torquing, crimping, riveting, and gluing.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficient with Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Strong teamwork, organizational ability, and responsiveness.
- Effective communication skills to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Resilient, committed, and proactive in problem resolution.
