Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with expertise in civil engineering to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline, and possess at least 10 years of extensive experience, particularly with main contractors in building and high-rise projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all commercial and contractual project activities effectively.
• Develop, review, and manage budgets, cost plans, and project financial forecasts.
• Assess subcontractor bids and handle payment applications thoroughly.
• Prepare documentation related to variations, financial claims, and supporting evidence.
• Track project expenditures and proactively identify any potential commercial risks.
• Liaise closely with teams across project management, procurement, finance, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Guarantee timely preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of quantity surveying experience focusing on main contractors.
• Demonstrated expertise in building and high-rise construction projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of cost planning, budgeting, tendering, procurement, as well as contract administration including handling variations and claims.
• Experienced in preparing interim valuations, subcontractor payments, cost reports, and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working in UAE or GCC construction sectors is an advantage.
