  • Ensure audit issues are addressed promptly and remediation actions are implemented.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and put mitigation plans in place.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, strong controls and ongoing improvement.
  • Lead, coach and develop finance teams across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Build capability through coaching, succession planning and team development.
  • Support collaboration, consistency and knowledge sharing across the regional finance function.
  • Assist with reviewing, implementing and improving ERP, reporting and finance systems.
  • Drive process standardisation, automation and efficiency across finance operations.
  • Support digital finance transformation and data-led decision-making to improve reporting quality, scalability and efficiency.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will bring deep finance leadership experience, strong commercial judgement and a solid understanding of reporting, controls, compliance and business partnering in a multi-country environment. Experience in the ANZ market and the ability to lead distributed teams are important, as is comfort working with finance systems and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership positions in multinational, regional or multi-country organisations.
  • Strong technical capability in financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and internal controls.
  • Practical experience working in Australia and New Zealand, with understanding of the region’s regulatory and business environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams across locations and time zones.
  • Hands-on exposure to ERP and finance platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Xero or similar systems.
