Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a finance expert with a strong foundation in accounting combined with advanced capabilities in data analytics. This individual will transform extensive financial and operational data into actionable insights for senior leadership. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot Premium is essential, as well as a reputation for producing precise, prompt, and strategically valuable reports that drive operational excellence and growth. The role demands effective multitasking under tight schedules and excellent skills in managing and influencing stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver financial support to the Vice President of Qatar Location and Head of Operations.
• Generate high-level financial presentations, interactive dashboards, and summaries suitable for board discussions.
• Assist with operational assessments, business planning cycles, forecasting processes, and continuous performance tracking.
• Produce insights concerning project cash flows, collections, payments, profitability, and working capital management.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications like CA or equivalent are preferred.
• 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership and operational teams.
• Background in EPC, Oil & Gas, Construction, Energy, or other project-driven sectors is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Expert mastery of Microsoft Excel: financial modelling, Power Query/Power Pivot, advanced formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMPRODUCT, LET, LAMBDA), pivot tables/charts, macros, and automated reporting.
• Advanced Power BI skills including data modelling, complex DAX measures and calculations, dashboard and KPI creation, forecasting, trend analyses, data integration from Oracle and multiple sources, and administration with governance of Power BI Service.
• Proficient use of AI & digital tools such as Microsoft Copilot Premium (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint), AI-supported financial analysis and report generation, prompt engineering for finance applications, AI-powered data visualization and storytelling, and automation to enhance productivity.
