Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is a crucial contributor to financial planning, analysis, compliance, and strategic decision-making aimed at enhancing financial performance. This role collaborates with multiple business units to produce forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans, ensuring senior leadership stays updated on operational results and significant developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the financial planning and analysis activities to align with company objectives.
- Develop, manage, and maintain budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans with business partners.
- Verify the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend corrective actions to sustain a strong control framework.
- Analyze trends to highlight risks, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to meet financial goals.
- Lead projects to deliver insightful evaluations of operational performance.
- Implement and enhance process improvements, optimize financial analysis workflows, and document existing procedures.
- Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and training to indirect reports and other teams to promote collaboration and associate engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum educational requirement.
- Between three to five years of relevant experience in finance roles.
- Strong technical competency, including familiarity with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization platforms; experience with MFP and One Stream is beneficial.
- Demonstrated leadership with curiosity and a proactive approach to complex challenges and shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in connecting different business units to foster learning and enhance outcomes.
- Background or experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Retail Financial Planning & Analysis is preferred.
Additional Information
This position is a 12-month contract role based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, requiring full-time onsite presence.
