About the Role
We are working with a leading multi-billion turnover listed international group with operations spanning several continents and countries. As this dynamic company continues expanding both organically and through acquisitions, it seeks an experienced Senior Group Reporting Manager to join its global finance team. This role is highly international, positioned centrally in the consolidation and group reporting process, offering significant interaction with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the group consolidated financial reporting process, ensuring it is precise, consistent, and aligns with applicable accounting standards.
- Serve as a principal liaison between the group finance function and finance teams in various regions, cultivating strong and reliable partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with finance personnel across multiple countries, adeptly managing differing local requirements, regulations, and jurisdictional factors.
- Engage with senior stakeholders including divisional finance leaders and group finance executives to support reporting and decision-making.
- Aid in the preparation of board-level and external reporting documents, guaranteeing their clarity and accuracy for diverse audiences.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in group reporting methodologies as the company grows and integrates new acquisitions.
- Contribute actively to the transformation of finance systems and processes by sharing insights and championing improvements that boost reporting effectiveness and quality.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in headquarters or group-level financial reporting, preferably within large, complex multi-entity organizations.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships in culturally diverse environments, showing cultural sensitivity and adaptive communication styles.
- Strong enthusiasm for systems and process enhancements with background in transformational finance settings.
- Comfort navigating the complexities of varying jurisdictions, including differing tax, regulatory, and reporting rules.
- Experience in organizations with similar scale and complexity, ensuring a natural progression rather than an excessive leap.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of establishing credibility and influence from divisional teams to senior leadership.
- Ambitious mindset with clear aspirations for career growth within the group structure.
- Professional qualification as an accountant with experience in a big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.
