Primary Duties

• Ensure team adherence to accepted engineering standards, regulatory mandates, and client requirements.
• Promote standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and documentation templates.
• Enhance comprehension of technical knowledge, legal obligations, and customer specifications where feasible and lawful.
• Apply local and international standards to maintain technical excellence.
• Support quality processes including checks, peer reviews, and integration of feedback.
• Maintain awareness of project scope, budget, and timelines; help the team meet these targets and coordinate cross-discipline efforts for successful project delivery.

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental (HSE) management within project environments.
• Possess specialized knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards relevant to onshore and offshore engineering for topside and plant layout as well as piping design in oil and gas facilities.
• Bring extensive current experience in piping engineering, piping stress analysis, pipe supports, and detailed plant equipment layout design, preferably from reputable engineering contractors or oil/gas companies.
• Provide expertise in selecting piping materials, guiding preparation of piping, valve and special item specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure use of recognized engineering practices for piping and plant layout and design aligned with onshore and offshore requirements.

Quality Assurance and Safety

• Work within the established quality assurance framework and guidelines.
• Adhere strictly to personal safety protocols and occupational health and safety procedures.
• Promote awareness regarding health, safety, and environmental aspects within the team and projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Mandatory accreditation from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) or willingness to obtain it during probation.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification or progress toward it considered an advantage.
• Experience with offshore brownfield projects.
• Good understanding of materials and design relevant to piping engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with 3D review tools such as Navisworks and SPR.
