Signs & Graphics Designer

Role Overview

Take full ownership of signage and environmental graphic projects from initial concept and design through to vendor production and supervised installation, spanning multiple workplace and laboratory locations. Develop clear, functional, and brand-consistent designs that enhance navigation, reinforce brand presence, and improve the overall experience within people-oriented spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage signage and environmental graphics projects comprehensively from briefing to final installation and project closeout.
• Create wayfinding systems, signage layouts, and environmental graphics tailored to people spaces, ensuring alignment with brand standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Produce detailed, vendor-ready artwork files and specifications for fabrication.
• Adapt and customize templates to fit specific site requirements and team messaging.
• Collaborate closely with vendors regarding fabrication methods, material choices, timeframes, and quality assurance to ensure design compliance.
• Conduct site assessments and take measurements, while overseeing installations to guarantee proper placement and finishing quality.
• Work alongside facilities, workplace management, and brand teams to define project scopes, timelines, branding guidelines, file handling, and review processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
• Three to five years of experience specifically in environmental graphics and wayfinding systems for workplace environments, lobbies, laboratories, and communal spaces.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, including vendor coordination and supervision of on-site installations.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite—Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• In-depth knowledge of signage-related materials, fabrication techniques, installation practices, ADA compliance, and safety protocols.
• Expertise in layout design, typography, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines within a dynamic work setting.

Annual salary ranges between $96,000 and $198,000, complemented by cash bonuses, stock awards, and a robust benefits package.
