Role Overview
As an early member of the team, you bridge technical exploration and business impact for Laravel Cloud. Acting as a strategic technical partner to sales, you architect solutions for complex infrastructure challenges encountered by prospects. Collaborating closely with Product, Sales, and Support teams, you translate detailed technical architectures into long-lasting success for customers on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the technical aspects of sales by conducting in-depth discovery sessions with CTOs, mapping application and hosting requirements, and delivering precise solution designs and cost estimates.
- Establish yourself as a technical authority by demonstrating how Laravel Cloud meets demanding performance and security requirements through demos and detailed architecture discussions.
- Manage evaluations and production pilots including provisioning of trial setups, performance benchmarking, and supporting customers during production rollouts.
- Facilitate the purchasing process by aligning technical achievements with business ROI, navigating security assessments and procurement alongside sales colleagues.
- Provide valuable feedback on product development inspired by customer insights and represent Laravel in the wider community through speaking engagements, content creation, and live interactions.
- Develop scalable tools and workflows that enhance sales engineering functions, embracing the challenges of building processes from the ground up.
Candidate Requirements
- Hands-on engineering experience including building and deploying production applications, with a firm understanding of AWS and API deployment nuances.
- Strong architectural knowledge of cloud environments covering networking, high availability, and database performance tuning.
- Confidence and expertise in presenting complex systems visually and reviewing code live during customer interactions.
- Excellent communication skills to listen attentively, address concerns smoothly, and explain technical ideas effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- A customer-focused approach that prioritizes long-term success over immediate deals.
- Collaborative nature supporting sales and acting as the customer advocate with internal product and engineering teams.
- Adaptability to startup environments and willingness to travel for customer meetings and conferences as the company expands.
