Overview

LTM is seeking an experienced F5 Administrator to oversee and maintain its F5 infrastructure, including BIGIP, BIGIQ, and F5 Distributed Cloud XC platforms. The role involves managing application delivery security policies with a focus on advanced features like Bot Defense and DDoS mitigation, ensuring robust protection and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIGIP and BIGIQ services for optimal operation.
• Administer F5 Distributed Cloud XC components to support global application delivery and security frameworks.
• Conduct regular system updates, applying patches and upgrades to maintain stability and compliance.
• Develop and maintain security policies, particularly WAF configurations to enhance application protection.
• Implement and adjust bot profiles to effectively prevent automated threats.
• Configure and monitor DDoS mitigation measures across F5 solutions.
• Oversee system performance, health, and security monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues concerning traffic management, SSL/TLS configurations, and application uptime; perform root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, policies, and processes to meet security standards and regulatory demands.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven practical experience with F5 BIGIP modules including LTM, ASM, AFM, DNS, and APM.
• Competence with advanced F5 features such as IP Intelligence.
• Knowledge of centralized management using BIGIQ and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with the architecture and services of F5 Distributed Cloud XC.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
• Experience in configuring WAF policies, Bot Defense, and DDoS protection mechanisms.
• Good grasp of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and best practices in application security.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and customization using Python, Bash, or iRules.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Preferred certifications: F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or F5 Certified Solution Expert (CSE).
• Experience with cloud service integrations such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including API-driven automation.
• Exposure to managing application security and cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPP) like Veracode, SonarQube, and Wiz.
