Tech Information Security Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Tech Information Security Engineer to implement, oversee, and support cybersecurity measures that protect our organization's systems, networks, and applications from dynamic cyber threats.

Key Duties

• Deploying, configuring, and managing cybersecurity tools such as Firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Vulnerability Management systems, and Email Security platforms.
• Monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, and responding promptly to cybersecurity threats.
• Performing vulnerability scans and coordinating remediation efforts to address security weaknesses.
• Administrating DDoS protection mechanisms, enhancing web application security, and managing network security controls.
• Ensuring all security solutions function effectively in line with organizational security policies.
• Generating comprehensive security reports, documentation, and proposing improvements for continuous enhancement of security posture.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
• At least three years of practical experience in cybersecurity operations or security engineering roles.
• Proficiency working with security technologies, including Fortinet/FortiGate, CrowdStrike EDR, Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection, Email Security Gateways, and Vulnerability Management platforms like Tenable, Nessus, and Qualys.
• Strong grasp of network security principles, threat identification, incident handling, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Possession of relevant security certifications such as Security+, NSE, CEH, or equivalent is advantageous.
