Role Overview

This position involves managing and operating packaging line machinery, ensuring optimal performance to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently while adhering to operational and environmental standards. The operator will also implement autonomous maintenance activities and collaborate with the Asset Care team to support routine and corrective maintenance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, shut down, and continuously monitor machine performance following SOPs
• Comply strictly with environmental, health, and safety protocols and standards
• Accurately record operational data and update relevant reporting systems
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workplace to high hygiene standards
• Deliver products meeting quality standards and perform quality control at the source
• Operate equipment strictly within specified design parameters
• Maintain safe and proper operation of machinery under your control
• Conduct regular sensory inspections of equipment and initiate maintenance requests based on condition monitoring
• Execute equipment changeovers and necessary adjustments efficiently
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening (CILT), and apply lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures as needed
• Support the Asset Care team during maintenance and breakdown activities
• Utilize escalation processes during deviations or breakdowns in the process
• Troubleshoot situational issues using appropriate problem-solving tools
• Follow quality triggers and standards detailed in SOPs
• Adopt and consistently apply maintenance best practices through MMS and other methodologies
• Engage with all digital tools introduced by the company such as Orbis, Harford, and STRATA
• Optimize operational costs by minimizing waste of water, energy, time, and materials
• Raise preventive maintenance notifications and update completed work orders in SAP

Qualifications and Experience

• FTC certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• At least 1 year experience handling machinery and performing autonomous maintenance in manufacturing environments
