The Opportunity
Join Stantec's expanding planning team to contribute to a wide array of projects focusing on development management, infrastructure, environmental, and strategic planning. You will work predominantly on significant projects within the Water and Energy sectors, assisting in the preparation of planning applications, strategies, and stakeholder engagement initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role
As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for supporting diverse planning projects, emphasizing infrastructure, environmental, and development planning throughout Ireland. Your tasks will include creating planning applications, reports, strategies, and providing planning guidance to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
You will collaborate closely with planning authorities, stakeholders, and clients on projects in the Water and Energy sectors, along with broader development and strategic planning. The role involves active participation in project execution, stakeholder collaboration, and business development, all while fostering your technical and professional growth within a supportive and cooperative environment.

About You
You are a dedicated planning specialist with three to seven years of experience in town planning, environmental or infrastructure planning, or related fields. You possess a robust knowledge of Irish planning legislation and policies and have experience preparing planning documents and applications. You excel in multidisciplinary teamwork and communicating with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish planning laws, policies, and development management procedures
- Experience in preparing planning applications, reports, and technical documents
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven record of stakeholder engagement
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and handle multiple project priorities
