Role Overview

As Warehouse Lead, you will manage warehouse operations ensuring safety, security, and efficiency aligning with all local health and safety laws and company policies. You will serve as the main liaison between the profit center’s sales and operations, and the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and train warehouse personnel to guarantee safe and effective warehouse operations.
• Ensure all materials are received and stored safely and economically, completing all necessary documentation.
• Oversee the proper preparation, loading, and dispatching of orders according to customer guidelines.
• Maintain and review driver abstracts and forklift operator certifications regularly.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance of all delivery vehicles and material handling equipment used within the warehouse.
• Recommend acquisition of new warehouse equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Protect and manage Profit Centre assets including building, fleet, inventory, equipment, and receivables.
• Adhere to and enforce safety policies at customer sites and within the Profit Centre.
• Address and resolve all delivery complaints and receiving issues promptly.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent; post-secondary education is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse management and team supervision.
• A minimum of 2 years handling materials in warehouse settings.
• Competency in operating forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment safely.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic coupled with high integrity standards.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently in fast-paced, demanding environments.
• Capability to acquire comprehensive knowledge of products sold by the Profit Centre.
• Proficiency with warehouse order processing software.
• Intermediate mathematical abilities.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $65,000 annually. Compensation combines a base salary plus profit sharing determined by individual and corporate performance.
