Position Details

We are currently seeking to fill the role of Weichenwärter:in (Switch Operator) at the DB InfraGO AG, located across several sites including Eilenburg, Falkenberg/Elster, Leipzig, Torgau, and Zeitz.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and timely execution of shunting movements using mechanical signal systems at the listed marshalling yards.
• Set complete routes for train movements, including switches, paths, and signals, guaranteeing secure departures.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues at adjacent signal boxes, locomotive drivers, and control centers.
• Handle issuance, receipt, and transmission of operational messages and timetable notifications.
• Inspect and monitor track sections and manage track closures when disruptions occur.

Candidate Profile

• Possess solid knowledge and experience in mechanical signal box technology or be willing to develop these skills.
• Demonstrate strong responsibility, reliability, expert handling under pressure, and punctuality.
• Hold operational certification as a switch operator.
• Agree to work in rotating shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
