Position Overview
Join WestJet as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer based in Calgary, Alberta. Since 1996, WestJet has built a renowned corporate culture focused on high standards in service and safety. Compensation and Benefits
- Progressive ACA premiums beginning at 7%, rising by 1% every three years to a maximum of 11%
- Night shift premium of $2.00 per hour
- Fuel tank entry premium at $7.00 per hour

Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License (M2 preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably endorsed on Boeing 737 and/or 787 and/or Q400 aircraft or comparable
- Robust technical skills with expertise in airframe, powerplant, and flight control systems
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (Canadian passport, permanent residency, or valid open work permit with PR process underway)
- Capability to obtain a Radio Licence within six months of starting employment
- Physical ability to lift up to 62 lbs and to perform tasks involving sitting, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods
- Comfort working in varied environmental conditions including temperature extremes, confined spaces, heights, and noisy settings
- Maintaining a positive fit test for wearing safety and respiratory protective equipment
- Willingness and ability to work shift schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and necessary overtime
- Ability to travel for coverage during base absences or emergency rescue trips
- Proficiency with computer systems including maintenance tracking software and Microsoft Office applications
Conditions of Employment
- Must acquire and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) from Transport Canada
- Obtain and sustain Airside Vehicle Operator Permits (AVOP); must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass physical and fitness assessments, inclusive of audiometric testing
- Successful completion of police criminal background checks
- Clear result on pre-employment drug and alcohol screening tests per WestJet safety policy
