This position requires office presence at the corporate headquarters located in Orlando’s Milk District, with work hours Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting processes for a multifamily portfolio.
  • Act as principal financial liaison to property owners and internal stakeholders, presenting comprehensive property financial analyses and addressing complex queries.
  • Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial packages (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, rent roll, variance analysis).
  • Maintain operational accounting through bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable coordination, general ledger upkeep, rent roll validation, collections tracking, and monitoring property-level financial health.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting efforts, and variance analysis activities.
  • Identify, propose, and implement process enhancements and reporting efficiencies; contribute to SOP and scalable accounting workflow development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and company leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, including at least 3 years in non-HOA multifamily property accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of accrual accounting, month-end closing procedures, and property-level financial management.
  • Proficiency using property management accounting platforms such as AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, or Caliber.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities including pivot tables, lookups, and data organization.
  • Strong independent work ethic, prioritization skills, and ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator experienced in presenting financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in process optimization, SOP development, or system improvements is advantageous.
  • Bi-lingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus.

Compensation and Work Schedule

This full-time role offers an annual salary range between $90,000 and $105,000 plus eligibility for bonuses. The salary is dependent on experience and portfolio complexity. The workweek is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, requiring attendance at the Orlando corporate office.

  • Short-term disability coverage fully paid by the employer.
  • Additional optional voluntary benefits.
  • Three weeks of paid time off and twelve paid company holidays.
  • Paid parental leave for birth or adoption events.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Flexible spending accounts including dependent care FSA.
