Assistant Creative Designer

Role overview

Turley is looking for an early-career Assistant Creative Designer to join its Manchester office and become part of a national Creative Design team. The role sits within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and supports both consultancy projects and internal communications with high-quality creative output.

What you will do

Working closely with the Creative Lead and colleagues across the wider office network, you will help produce a broad mix of print and digital design work. This includes brochures, presentations, marketing materials, digital and social content, as well as assets for public engagement and events.

The team is currently working with a refreshed visual identity, and the role comes at an exciting stage as a redesigned website is set to go live in July 2026. You will help extend and develop this identity across the business.

What Turley is looking for

The ideal candidate will have a graphic design degree or an equivalent qualification, along with the ability to show conceptual thinking and creative judgement. A solid understanding of print design and practical knowledge of digital design, including website and motion-based work, are important for success in this position.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is essential, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, plus website build tools such as Squarespace and Framer, would be an advantage.

An interest in all areas of creative design is key, together with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to explore ideas deeply across branding, visual identity, layouts, digital interaction, and motion storytelling. You should also be committed to learning and improving your craft, and be able to stay organised in a busy environment where deadlines and priorities can change quickly.

Additional information

The salary for this position is between £25,000 and £27,000. Candidates must have permission to work in the UK or Ireland by the time they begin employment.
