Role Purpose
This position is focused on carrying out assigned maintenance work, protecting the reliability of boiler systems, and ensuring maintenance is performed according to schedule. The role also involves supporting outage-related maintenance, keeping records and documents updated, and delivering safety training.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will oversee mechanical maintenance work for boiler pressure parts and related equipment, ensuring smooth and reliable operations.
- Carry out assigned maintenance tasks in line with the resource plan for boiler pressure parts.
- Maintain the availability and dependable performance of boiler systems, including pressure parts, valves, APH, FGD equipment, piping, and supports.
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance as per the planned maintenance calendar.
- Coordinate maintenance work during outages to make the best use of manpower and reduce shutdown time.
- Keep the boiler area clean, orderly, and well maintained.
- Assist team leads and section heads during emergencies and response activities.
- Take part in structural training sessions and audits related to the boiler area.
- Provide safety training to contractors and ensure the updates are entered on time in the KRONOS system.
Documentation and Quality
- Prepare and improve Standard Maintenance Procedures for review and rollout.
- Maintain equipment history records accurately.
- Ensure maintenance documents and records are preserved properly for compliance and future reference.
- Compile reports for RCA, FMEA, BTL, ZFO, technical audits, AOH, and COH based on inputs from team leads and section heads.
- Prepare NFA documents and PR approval sheets as directed by the section head.
- Generate MIS reports, including safety MIS, ORM/SRM, and Legatrix reports.
Budget and Stores Support
- Contribute operational inputs to budgeting activities.
- Issue required spares and materials from stores so maintenance work is not delayed.
- Create PRs as instructed and coordinate with team leads for approvals.
- Track spares, insulation sheets, and refractory materials, including annual planning requirements.
- Support attendance checks and resource quantity verification to improve manpower and material utilization.
- Execute maintenance work within approved budgets while keeping costs under control.
Safety, Compliance, and Sustainability
- Follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA, and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
- Ensure safety practices are followed during maintenance execution in line with CHETNA requirements.
- Adhere strictly to safety compliance standards and company safety initiatives.
- Confirm and document compliance with safety standards as required by GENSUITE.
Digitization and Automation
- Support digitization efforts aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
- Contribute ideas and implementation support for automation solutions that align with business goals and strategy.

Qualifications and Experience
A B.Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent related discipline from a recognized institution is required. The role asks for more than 4 years of experience in boiler maintenance within a power plant or a similar industrial environment. Prior exposure to thermal power generation, especially boiler systems and mechanical maintenance, is preferred.
