Assistant Manager

Overview

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and enjoys mentoring a team to consistently deliver excellent in-store customer service. As Assistant Manager, you will oversee all facets of the customer experience, including store operations, staff training, team management, visual merchandising, and asset protection. You will also step in as acting Store Manager when necessary. Your key success measures will be based on delivering sales growth and achieving profit targets for your assigned store.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills with a minimum of three years in a customer-focused sales role
• At least three years of experience managing a retail store
• Confident interpersonal skills to engage customers and elevate their shopping experience
• Driven to achieve outstanding results fueled by enthusiasm for customer interaction and athletic products
• Adaptable and resourceful in responding to evolving demands within a fast-paced omnichannel retail setting
• Strong analytical abilities, including decision making, problem solving, and financial acumen
• Upholds high ethical standards, integrity, and trustworthiness
• Willingness to work flexible hours, encompassing nights, weekends, and holidays

• Motivate and coach your team to deliver exceptional performance and customer experience
• Implement best practices in recruiting, hiring, training, guest service, merchandising, and store operations
• Drive key performance indicators targeting sales growth and profitability
• Enhance brand loyalty by fostering a natural and personable customer interaction through your team
• Serve as a liaison among customers, sales associates, store management, and corporate partners
• Maintain a strong customer focus and lead by example with effective communication
• Ensure merchandising and visual standards are consistently upheld
• Passionate about educating associates on product knowledge and applying it toward enriching the customer experience
