Azure Data Engineer

About the Role

Capgemini is hiring an Azure Data Engineer in Hyderabad to build and support modern data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The position focuses on data pipeline development, ETL implementation, analytics enablement, and reporting support. Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus and brings additional expectations around Fabric-specific tools and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Apply data governance concepts and follow best practices for managing data quality, access, and control.
• Build ETL workflows that move data from different source systems into Azure Data Lake and data warehouse environments.
• Work hands-on with SQL, Python, and PySpark for data transformation and processing.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reports for business users.
• Use DAX and Power Query effectively to shape and model data for reporting.
• Set up and manage Power BI Service components, gateways, and report embedding.
• Create Power BI datasets, semantic models, and row-level security rules to control data access.
• Contribute to Gen AI-related work as part of the data engineering function.

Microsoft Fabric Focus

If the candidate has experience with Azure Microsoft Fabric, the role also includes working with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse as part of the pipeline stack, along with strong use of Microsoft Fabric and related technologies. Fabric DP-700 and DP-600 certifications are preferred.

Applicants should have a B.Sc in any specialization, B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization, or B.C.A. in any specialization.
