Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join a dynamic data team within a prominent financial services firm in London. This position offers a hybrid work environment and a base salary up to £60,000. The role embraces a comprehensive scope including data analysis, automation, governance, reporting, and business improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Collaborate with various departments to understand data usage and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing existing workflows.
• Implement practical solutions that combine hands-on data manipulation and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Utilize tools such as Snowflake, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, and the Microsoft Power Platform to drive data initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Background in analytical roles involving data, reporting, business analysis, or data management.
• Proficient in SQL with confidence in querying and investigating datasets.
• Experience working with Power BI or comparable data visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Alteryx, or equivalent data automation technologies.
• Interest in streamlining processes and minimizing manual tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Aptitude for engaging effectively with stakeholders across diverse business functions.
• Knowledge of change management, transformation projects, data governance, or data management is advantageous.
• Exposure to financial services or asset management sectors is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience or interest in Power Automate, Power Apps, Python, APIs, or SFTP is useful but not essential.
