Role Overview

The Chief Engineer will lead engineering functions during the hotel's pre-opening phase, managing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of technical infrastructure to ensure readiness for opening day. This role requires leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on involvement in project and team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the setup, commissioning, and installation of all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and building systems to meet timelines and compliance standards.
• Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring quality and punctual delivery of engineering projects within budget.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance plans for all equipment and systems to guarantee operational readiness.
• Recruit, train, and mentor the engineering team to handle hotel operations from day one while fostering a cooperative and service-focused work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections to uphold safety and functionality standards; develop emergency protocols for system failures.
• Collaborate with safety and security teams to comply with fire and life safety regulations.
• Manage the engineering budget efficiently, promoting energy-efficient solutions to optimize operational expenses.
• Coordinate project progress with management, maintaining thorough documentation and risk assessments.
• Support post-opening technical operations ensuring rapid resolution of issues and establishment of long-term maintenance strategies.
