Role Overview
The Client Onboarding Manager will oversee the onboarding journey for new customers acquired through partnerships, ensuring smooth implementation from handoff to the first payroll run. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves project management, system configuration, understanding payroll processes, training clients, and collaborating across teams. The goal is to facilitate accurate and timely employee payments by configuring employee data, time tracking, PTO, payroll rules, and integrations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full onboarding lifecycle for customers sourced via partnership channels.
- Maintain a portfolio of onboarding projects from internal handoff through go-live and payroll stabilization phases.
- Create and execute implementation plans aligned with customers' clock-in dates, payroll schedules, and training needs.
- Conduct kickoff meetings, set up client accounts, deliver training, and oversee payroll launches.
- Maintain transparent communication with customers, documenting timelines, responsibilities, risks, and next steps.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand workflows and translate these requirements into effective Connecteam configurations.
- Configure integrations and account settings, including payroll systems.
- Train clients and managers on using the Connecteam platform for time tracking and payroll processes, adapting delivery based on customer complexity and size.
- Work closely with partner Implementation Managers and coordinate among internal teams such as Sales, Support, Product, and Integrations.
- Investigate and resolve issues across workflows, escalate payroll-impacting risks, and maintain thorough documentation.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum two years in implementation, onboarding, or customer-facing SaaS roles supporting SMB and Mid Market clients.
- Strong project management capabilities, able to handle multiple implementations simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Tech-savviness with quick adaptability to new software, troubleshooting, integration, and data flow understanding.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a customer-centric approach to managing complex projects.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment to handle ambiguity and changing customer requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in payroll, HRIS, workforce management, scheduling, time & attendance, or employee management platforms.
- Experience supporting payroll implementations, working in PEO contexts, or managing multi-location/multi-entity organizations.
- Prior involvement in partner-led or channel-based customer environments.

Additional Information
The salary offered for this position is $90,000 annually. Applicants must be currently employed in one of the following states: Texas, New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Utah, or Georgia.
